We make sure the right people find their home at the Co-op! Our goal is to follow the Membership Committee’s policies to welcome new members and handle internal moves smoothly. We manage waiting lists for both internal and external applicants, and when units become available, we’re ready to fill them with the perfect fit! We screen applicants, provide orientation, and make recommendations to the Board for membership approval. We also keep the Move-in, Move-out Committee updated on unit availability and work on updating membership policies as needed. We’re all about communication—liaising with the Co-op community, the Board, and other committees—and we keep everything confidential! Plus, we provide a monthly update in the Co-op newsletter to keep everyone in the loop. We’re here to help make the Co-op the best place to live!
Maintenance
We’re here to keep the Co-op in top shape! Our job is to maintain the buildings and common areas, ensuring they last longer and stay in great condition. We conduct regular inspections to check for needed repairs and proper functioning of equipment. We also develop policies for unit alterations, maintenance responsibilities, and emergency repairs. When members move out or transfer, we make sure the unit is properly maintained. As a resource for all things maintenance, we educate members and work with the Board on long-term planning and budgeting for capital improvements. Let’s keep the Co-op looking great together!
Grounds
Make Riverwoods shine! Work with the Grounds Committee! At Riverwoods, we’re all about keeping our garden and lawn areas looking fresh and beautiful! We share tips and updates on everything garden-related, so everyone can stay in the know. We make sure the grounds are thriving by keeping an eye on what’s needed and staying up-to-date on any agreements affecting the Co-op. We also assign areas for members to care for, offering guidance to help them keep their spots in tip-top shape. Whether it’s shopping for plants, soil, and tools or adding cool improvements, we’re all in! Join us for fun cleanups and grounds events, and let’s work together to keep Riverwoods vibrant and beautiful!
Move In Move Out
Moving in, moving around, or moving out of the Co-op? We’ve got you covered! Our goal is to make the moving process as smooth as possible while keeping things in tip-top shape for everyone. Whether it’s ensuring your new unit is clean and in good repair or checking out vacated units, we make sure everything is up to standard. We’ll keep the Maintenance Committee in the loop for any repairs that pop up and create easy-to-follow procedures to keep things running smoothly. We make things move at Riverwoods!

We’re a passionate group of community builders who love bringing people together. Whether it’s hosting exciting events, creating opportunities to connect, or finding creative ways to make a difference, our goal is to make River Woods an even better place to belong.
We believe there’s a way for everyone to contribute—whether you’re a social butterfly who thrives on planning and connecting or someone who prefers quieter ways to help, like organizing, cleaning, or behind-the-scenes logistics. Every bit of effort adds up to something great, and we’re here to make sure it’s as enjoyable as it is meaningful.
So, whether you’re new to River Woods, or a long-time member, we’d love to hear your ideas, see your skills in action, and share a laugh or two along the way. Together, we’re creating not just events, but memories and connections that matter.

Newsletter
The goal of our newsletter is simple: make sure important updates-Like committee reports, phone list, and the monthly calendar-reach every unit by the first of the month.
We help encourage open communication and bring the Co-op community closer together, that's our goal! We're open to ideas, articles, and opinions on Co-op issues, as long as they're respectful of course and approved by the committee.
We keep you connected!
Good Neighbour
We are the newest committee at River Woods, formed in 2024. our Mission is to build a supportive, Engaged and inclusive community.
We aim to support members in need of a little extra help and bring people together. We host the GNC Coffee House on the second Saturday of every month from 10-11pm and organize learning events for our entire community and host Collaboration meeting to identify solutions with action plans.
We gather a "skills inventory" and requests for help, with forms available in the laundry room, so we can math those in need of support with those able to provide it. We believe that great neighbours make a stronger community.
